What is LightTube?

LightTube is a division of the Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA). It is the fiber optic network built throughout the City of Tullahoma in order to provide Fiber To The Premise (FTTP). In other words, the fiber optic cable runs directly from the headend at TUB to the home or business - no nodes in between. This produces high quality video, high speed Internet, and feature-rich telephone services.

Is LightTube more expensive than other cable or satellite providers?

Because TUA is a municipality (city service), the LightTube system is offered with marginal profit because it is owned by the subscribers. Therefore, the cost of the system is kept at a minimum, which makes the services very affordable and limits numerous rate increases like one sees from our competitors. In addition, a huge value added service is local technical support and local customer service. There are minimal problems with LightTube, but should you have a question or need, you can speak to one of our local techs or customer service representatives.

How do I get signed up with LightTube?

Call or stop by the TUA office located at 901 South Jackson Street. The hours are Monday through Friday; 7:30am to 4:30pm. The phone number is (931) 455-4515. TUA can get you signed up over the phone (via fax and/or email). You can also sit with a local customer service representative at the office who will answer all of your questions and help you complete the paperwork. If you just can't make it to TUA, please let us know. We will schedule someone to come see you, or stay after-hours. LightTube is your hometown provider of TV, Internet, and telephone.
