History
Founded in 1948 as the Tullahoma Utilities Board, TUA began with a clear goal: deliver the infrastructure needed to support a growing city. Over the decades, TUA has consistently invested in modernization and reliability.
In 2008, TUA launched LightTube, a groundbreaking fiber-optic network delivering Internet, TV, and Phone services. Tullahoma became one of the first Tennessee cities with fiber-to-the-premise connectivity—years ahead of larger markets.
In 2016, the organization officially became Tullahoma Utilities Authority, signaling a shift toward long-term strategic planning and even more efficient governance.
Today, TUA continues to evolve to meet the future needs of our customers with community-centered service and innovation.

TUA is governed by a dedicated board committed to serving the community with transparency and strategic vision.
