Aldermen Election Only Race Contested In City
As we mentioned on Monday, the Tullahoma City Election will take place on Thursday, August 3rd. Early voting starts this Friday. Only the Aldermen race is contested. The race for Mayor, City Judge, and two school board seats are all uncontested. Lane Curlee is alone on the ballot this year for Mayor, while James Conley stands unopposed for city judge. School board members Jessica Fogarty and Teresa Lawson are also running for re-election unopposed. As for the aldermen, Mayor Pro-Temp Jerry Mathis is seeking re-election. He’s a longtime educator in the school system and has previously served as Tullahoma City Schools athletic director. Robin Dunn is also running in the aldermen race. She moved to Tullahoma as a child when her father was stationed at AEDC. She served as a math teacher at THS for several years before founding her own business, Tullahoma Hybrid Homeschool Services. Paige Prescott Lashlee is a fourth generation Tullahoman. After a short stint in Indiana, she moved back to Tullahoma in 2011 and currently serves as the director of marketing for Prescott Bottling and Distributing, which has been her family’s business since 1929. Lastly, Stephen Landers is a well-known community member, having lived his entire life in Tullahoma. He worked at Worth Sports for 28 years before it shut its doors, moving on to work as a janitor at Jack T. Farrar Elementary School for four years before settling into his current job at Ollie’s.
