Tullahoma High School Senior hopes to change age law in order to run for office
A Tullahoma High School senior is hoping to lower the age of qualification in order to run for city office. Under the current charter, the current age to run for city office is 21, but Michael Celiberti is hoping it can be changed to the age of 18. Celiberti addressed the Board of Mayor and Alderman during its regular scheduled meeting this past Monday night. Three different school administrators, West Middle Principal Mick Shuran, Tullahoma High School Assistant Principal Greg English and Director of Schools Dan Lawson were in attendance to support Celiberti’s candidacy. Mayor Curlee tabled the resolution to a later date, so that more discussion could take place on the request.
